Glaze Batch Calculator
Glaze recipes are written in percentages, but buckets are mixed by weight. This calculator scales a recipe to any batch size, totals the dry materials, and estimates the water needed for a dipping consistency.

Notes and gotchas
- Weigh materials in descending order of quantity to reduce the effect of small weighing errors.
- Add water gradually — it is much easier to thin a glaze than to thicken it.
- Sieve the mixed glaze through an 80-mesh screen before use.
- Record the specific gravity of every batch so you can reproduce the same result.
